For millions of users, LINE is more than just a messaging app, it’s an essential part of daily life. It’s where conversations flow, services are accessed, and decisions are made in real time.
Instead of asking users to download yet another app or change their habits, the question became: What if mobility could meet them where they already are?
That’s precisely what the integration between Shotl’s API and LINE delivers.
By embedding Shotl’s on-demand transport technology directly into LINE, users can now access mobility services in the most natural and intuitive way possible, within a platform they already know, trust, and use every day. No new apps to download, no learning curve, and no friction. Just a seamless experience from the first tap to the final drop-off.
What makes the experience truly smart is the combination of Shotl’s technology with advanced generative AI (LLM). After clicking the “Book” button, users can simply type or speak in free text to request a ride. The system intelligently understands the intent, for example, when a user says “from station to junior high school at 4 o’clock on Friday,” it automatically interprets this as booking a ride for one person from the nearest stop to the station to the nearest stop to the junior high school, at 4:00 PM on the upcoming Friday.
Behind the scenes, Shotl’s API powers real-time ride matching, dynamic routing, and instant communication, while the LLM handles natural language understanding to make the booking process effortless and human-like.
A special thanks to Itochu Techno-Solutions and all parties involved whose collaboration made this integration possible.
This is more than a technical achievement. It represents a fundamental shift in how mobility is experienced.
Because the future of transportation isn’t about building more apps. It's about creating smarter, more intuitive connections.
And in Taiwan, that future is already on the move.
